Te mapa
Laconia sits in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and water defines almost every edge of it. Lake Winnipesaukee lies to the northeast, Lake Winnisquam to the southwest, and between them Paugus Bay and Opechee Bay reach into the city. The Winnipesaukee River runs through downtown, linking the chain of lakes on its way south.
The result is a city shaped like an isthmus. Streets bend around shorelines, bridges cross the river and narrows, and neighbourhoods sit on points and peninsulas. To the north, Weirs Beach, part of Laconia, faces the broad open water of Winnipesaukee and has long drawn summer visitors and the boats that tie up there.
Laconia is also known for Laconia Motorcycle Week, a rally held every June that has a history reaching back about a century. A Laconia map poster, though, is mostly about water: large lake shapes, narrow bays and a river corridor, with the grid of downtown held neatly in between.
Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam press in from either side, giving the city its narrow, lake-bound shape and dramatic open areas on the print.
The river threads through downtown Laconia between the lakes and bays, crossed by several bridges that anchor the city centre on the map.
The lakeside district in the north faces the open water of Winnipesaukee, with its shoreline and docks forming a distinctive edge.

Koteā ko Laconia
Laconia means summers at the lake for many people, whether a family cottage, a first boat or rally week. A map with so much water reads beautifully on a wall, with shorelines doing most of the drawing.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a cottage name or a summer year. Choose from five styles, including Blueprint and Sand, and get HD files for $9 or a printed matte poster with optional frame.
