Te mapa
Lannion lies in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, a few kilometres inland from the Channel, where the Léguer begins to widen toward its estuary. The river runs through the middle of town and dominates the map. It is a single ribbon crossed by bridges, with quays on both sides and a compact old centre of narrow, twisting streets tucked in beside it.
North of the centre rises Brélévenez, a hill whose church is reached by a long flight of stone steps, and the streets climb to meet it. Beyond the historic core, newer districts spread across the plateau, while the Léguer carries on toward the sea between wooded banks. The pink granite coast around Perros-Guirec and Trégastel is a short drive away.
Lannion is also a centre of French telecommunications research. In 1962 the nearby station at Pleumeur-Bodou received some of the first transatlantic television pictures via the Telstar satellite. A Lannion map poster pairs that modern reputation with a much older street plan, one that has always been arranged around the river crossing.
The river crosses the town in a clean curve, lined with quays and spanned by bridges, then widens into a tidal estuary on its way to the Channel.
The church on its hill north of the centre is reached by stone steps. The streets around it rise in tighter, more winding lines than those in the town below.
Around the central square, a knot of narrow old streets forms the densest part of the map and stands out clearly against the wider blocks of the modern districts.

Koteā ko Lannion
Lannion draws engineers, students and summer visitors heading for the Côte de Granit Rose, and many leave attached to its river and its steps. A poster marks that connection, whether the town was a workplace, a holiday base or a family home in Brittany.
Set the title to Lannion, to its Breton name Lannuon, or to a name of your own, and add a date in the subtitle. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a printed poster on matte paper.
