Te mapa
Los Patios lies in Norte de Santander, directly south of Cúcuta, and forms part of the same metropolitan area near the border with Venezuela. On the map it is hard to tell where one city ends and the other begins, as the street grid runs continuously from the valley floor of Cúcuta into Los Patios.
The city stretches along the Pamplonita River and the main road that climbs south toward Pamplona and the Andes. Neighbourhoods fill the valley in grids of small blocks, then break into more irregular lanes as they reach the surrounding dry hills. The river corridor and the highway run side by side, giving the plan a clear north–south direction.
A Los Patios map poster shows this linear city between river, road and hills, in fine black detail. It is a warm, low-lying place, often described as a residential extension of Cúcuta, yet it keeps its own identity. For locals and for those who have moved away, the map captures the everyday geography of home.
The river runs through the valley alongside the city, a winding line that guides the direction of the streets and the main road.
The highway toward Pamplona passes through Los Patios as its main spine, climbing south from the Cúcuta valley into the mountains.
Regular blocks fill the valley floor, while the edges spill up onto dry hillsides in a looser, more irregular pattern.
