Te mapa
Mahna lies in the south of Indian Punjab, in the Malwa region, close to the city of Bathinda. The land here is almost perfectly flat, so the map is defined not by hills or rivers but by human lines: roads running straight for long distances, irrigation channels, railway tracks and the rectangular fields that cover almost every open space. It is a landscape drawn with a ruler.
Punjab's farming depends on canals and tube wells, and in the Malwa the canal network gives the countryside its geometry. Settlements tend to be compact, with houses packed tightly together and fields beginning immediately at the edge. That sharp boundary between dense streets and open land shows up clearly in a monochrome rendering, and it makes even a small place look graphic.
A Mahna map poster works best for someone with a direct link to the area, perhaps a family home nearby, or a relative living abroad who wants a piece of Punjab on the wall. The design keeps labels to a minimum, so the ordered pattern of roads and fields carries the image on its own.
With almost no relief, nearly every line on the map is man-made, giving the print a crisp, graphic look quite different from hilly or coastal places.
Irrigation channels cross the surrounding country in long, gentle lines, part of the network that made southern Punjab one of India's most productive farming regions.
Streets and houses sit tightly together, then stop abruptly at the fields, so the built-up area appears as a clear, solid shape against the open land.

Koteā ko Mahna
Punjabi families spread across the world often keep strong ties to a particular town. A map of Mahna is a simple way to show where the family story begins, and it makes a thoughtful gift for parents or grandparents who remember the place well.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available, including Classic black & white and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries, or you can download print-ready files for $9.
