Te mapa
Margate lies in northern Broward County, inland from Pompano Beach and next to Coconut Creek and Coral Springs. From above it follows a familiar South Florida pattern: major roads marking out a large grid, and inside each square a softer network of looping residential streets. Canals and small lakes run between the neighbourhoods, many of them dug as the drained land was developed.
The city grew quickly from the 1950s onward as part of the postwar settlement of reclaimed land west of the coast. Today it is largely residential, with shopping plazas along the main roads and parks spaced through the neighbourhoods. The Everglades lie a short distance to the west, beyond the edge of the suburban grid.
A Margate map poster turns a suburban landscape into something unexpectedly graphic. The water is the key: canals trace long, parallel lines while lakes form irregular pools inside the blocks, and together they give the map a rhythm that sets it apart from inland suburbs elsewhere in the country.
Straight drainage canals cut through Margate, dividing neighbourhoods and linking to the wider water management system that keeps this low land dry.
Small artificial lakes sit within many residential areas, their irregular outlines appearing as open shapes ringed by curving streets and houses.
Wide arterial roads divide the city into large blocks, a strong frame that makes the map easy to read at any print size.

Koteā ko Margate
Many residents came to Margate from elsewhere, to raise a family or to retire in the sun, and a map of the city marks that decision well. It works as a housewarming gift or as a reminder for someone who has since moved on.
Add a title, a subtitle such as your street or the year you arrived, and a coordinates line. Blueprint suits a watery plan like this one, while Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand offer quieter options for any room.
