Te mapa
Meikle Earnock is a residential district on the southern side of Hamilton in South Lanarkshire. On a map it looks very different from the older town centre to the north. Instead of a grid or a tight Victorian core, it is made up of looping roads, crescents and cul-de-sacs. These are typical of later suburban development, and the fields and countryside begin just beyond them.
The name comes from an older rural place name in the area, and the district has grown into one of the quieter, family-oriented parts of Hamilton. Its streets turn back on themselves in rounded shapes, which makes an interesting pattern from above. Green spaces and paths run between the housing areas, and the land rises gently to the south.
A Meikle Earnock map poster captures a neighbourhood that is personal to the people who live there. You can trace the route to school, the walk to the shops or the road home. The curving layout works especially well in black and white, and it reads almost like a drawing in its own right.

To the south, housing gives way to open farmland. The poster shows that clear line where the suburb stops and the Lanarkshire countryside begins.
Footpaths and small green spaces thread between the housing areas. They add fine lines and pale gaps that make the neighbourhood feel lived in, not just built.
