Te mapa
Melati, also written Mlati, lies in the Sleman area just north of Yogyakarta city. From above it looks less like a single town and more like a patchwork: clusters of houses along lanes, larger roads leading toward the city, and open ground between them. The land slopes gently from the direction of Mount Merapi toward the south.
Rivers descending from the volcano cross this part of Yogyakarta in roughly north to south lines, and on a map they cut through the settlement as thin winding channels. The main roads, by contrast, are straighter and carry traffic between the city, its northern suburbs and the neighbouring districts.
A Melati map poster records a landscape in transition, where older village patterns meet newer housing and roads serving a growing metropolitan area. It works best for someone who knows the place directly, whether they studied in Yogyakarta, grew up nearby or have family on these streets, because the map shows the everyday structure rather than a famous skyline.
Several rivers flow south from the slopes of Merapi and cross the area in thin, meandering lines between blocks of houses and fields.
Small, dense clusters of lanes mark older village settlements, each with its own loose knot of streets surrounded by more open land.
Main roads run toward central Yogyakarta, giving the map a clear sense of direction and connection to the larger city to the south.

This map suits people with ties to Yogyakarta, especially those who lived on its northern edge. It is a modest, personal image rather than a tourist view, and it fits easily into a home office or bedroom.
