Te mapa
Milpitas sits at the southern end of San Francisco Bay, between San Jose and Fremont. Freeways frame the map: Interstate 880 and Interstate 680 run north–south, and State Route 237 crosses to the west. Between them, the city is a mix of curving residential streets, broad arterials and large commercial and industrial parcels.
To the west, the land flattens toward the salt ponds and marshes of the bay's edge. To the east, the streets end abruptly against the foothills of the Diablo Range, where Ed Levin County Park climbs into open grassland. Coyote Creek and smaller channels cross the city in narrow, meandering lines.
Milpitas is part of Silicon Valley, with technology companies occupying many of its office parks, and it is home to the Great Mall. A Milpitas map poster captures a very Californian layout: freeway corridors, suburban loops and a clear line where the city stops and the hills begin.
Interstates 880 and 680 and Route 237 shape the city's outline, giving the map strong, clean lines that organise everything between them.
To the east, the street network stops at the Diablo Range foothills, leaving a wide open area that balances the dense grid below.
The creek winds north toward the bay, its narrow green corridor adding a natural curve through the suburban blocks.
