Moḩammadīyeh lies in Qazvin Province in northern Iran, a short distance from the city of Qazvin, on the broad plain that runs along the southern foot of the Alborz range. It has grown rapidly as part of the Qazvin urban area, close to the main transport corridor linking Tehran with the north-west.
