Te mapa
Monte Alegre de Minas is in the Triângulo Mineiro, the western wedge of Minas Gerais between the Paranaíba and Grande rivers. It lies between Uberlândia and Ituiutaba. On the map, the town is a regular grid of blocks centred on the main church square, with streets that thin out into rural roads at the edges of the urban area.
The surrounding municipality is large and mostly rural, covered by pasture, cropland and remnants of cerrado, the savanna of central Brazil. Streams run through shallow valleys lined with strips of forest. Highways cross the region in long, straight stretches, linking the town to the larger cities of the Triângulo and to Goiás.
A Monte Alegre de Minas map poster shows a typical interior Brazilian town plan: an orderly grid, a central square and roads running out across open country. The contrast between the dense rectangle of streets and the wide, lightly marked land around it gives the print a sense of space and distance.
The town's streets form an even pattern of blocks around the main square and church, the compact core of the map.
Beyond the urban area, pasture and savanna fill the land, with streams traced by thin lines of gallery forest.
Long road links head toward Uberlândia, Ituiutaba and Goiás, straight lines crossing the flat uplands of the Triângulo.
