Te mapa
Moribabougou sits in the Koulikoro region of Mali, just beyond the northeastern edge of Bamako. It is part of the wider urban area that has grown rapidly around the capital, and its map reflects that growth. Straight laid-out streets and new plots extend outward across open ground, with older clusters of housing and the main roads connecting it to the city.
The surrounding landscape is Sahelian savanna, with rocky rises and seasonal watercourses. On the map these show as irregular features between the ordered lines of new development. Main routes toward Bamako and toward Koulikoro give the area its structure, and much of the street pattern is organised around them.
A Moribabougou map poster records a place in the middle of change: a network of streets still being filled in, with open land at the edges. For people who live or grew up here, it is a portrait of the neighbourhood as it looks now.
Large areas of straight, regularly spaced streets show plots laid out for new housing, a clear sign of the town's recent growth.
Main roads toward Bamako and Koulikoro run through the area, the strongest lines on the map and the backbone of local traffic.
At the edges the streets thin out into open land, with rocky rises and seasonal streams breaking the pattern.
