Nārnaund is a town in Hisar district of Haryana, on the wide, level plain of northwestern India. From above there is little topography to interrupt the map. A dense core of lanes and houses sits at the centre, main roads leave it toward neighbouring towns, and all around lie fields divided into long, narrow holdings.
The pattern is typical of the Haryana countryside: an older settlement of irregular, closely packed streets, newer building along the approach roads, and a web of farm tracks and small canals serving the surrounding agriculture.
