Te mapa
Kaithal lies in the north of Haryana, on the broad alluvial plain between the Yamuna and the Ghaggar. From above, the town has a compact, irregular core of lanes and bazaars, the kind that develops over centuries, surrounded by more regular residential colonies added in recent decades. Beyond them the land opens into agricultural fields, crossed by roads and irrigation channels that run in long straight lines toward neighbouring towns.
Local tradition links Kaithal with the older name Kapisthal and with the landscape of the Mahabharata, and the town lies within the wider Kurukshetra region associated with the epic. Temples and water tanks appear in the older part of town, and Kaithal serves as the headquarters of its district, a market centre for the wheat and rice grown across the surrounding plain.
A Kaithal map poster sets the tight, uneven weave of the old town against the ordered geometry of newer streets and fields. That contrast is what makes the image interesting: a knot of lanes at the centre, clearer lines around it, and calm, open countryside at the edges. It works as a personal piece for anyone with roots in the district.
The historic centre is a tight mesh of narrow, irregular streets and bazaars, drawn as the densest cluster of lines on the map and clearly older than its surroundings.
Around the core, planned residential sectors add straighter streets and larger blocks, showing how the town has grown outward across the plain in recent decades.
Outside the built-up area, roads and irrigation channels divide the flat countryside into long, regular fields that give the edges of the print a quiet, measured texture.

Koteā ko Kaithal
For families from Kaithal living in Delhi, Chandigarh or abroad, the town's map is a direct link to home: the lanes of the old bazaar, the colony where a house stands, the road out to the fields. It makes a considered gift for a wedding or housewarming.
Write a family name or a date into the title and subtitle, keep the coordinates line or edit it, and choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters on matte paper can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.
