North Highlands Map Poster & Print
North Highlands is an unincorporated community in Sacramento County, north of the city of Sacramento. The land is flat, and most of the streets follow a regular grid of blocks and arterial roads laid out in the decades after the Second World War. On a map, the pattern is even and orderly, with straight lines running north–south and east–west to the edge of the frame.
The community grew alongside McClellan Air Force Base, which closed in 2001 and has since been redeveloped as a business park and airfield. Its long runway and large rectangular grounds remain the most striking feature of the area from above. They cut a clear open space into the surrounding residential grid.
A North Highlands map poster shows this relationship plainly: the steady rhythm of the suburban streets and the large, clean geometry of the former base beside them. It suits people with ties to McClellan and anyone who likes the quiet order of an American grid.

Suburban grid
Residential streets follow a regular pattern of blocks and cul-de-sacs, giving the poster an even, consistent texture across most of the frame.
Arterial roads
Wide main roads divide the grid into large squares. They create a clear framework within which the smaller residential streets sit.

Many service families passed through McClellan, and this map records the place they called home. For longtime residents, it shows a familiar grid in a clean, understated form that suits a modern room.
