Nova Vida Map Poster & Print
Nova Vida is a residential area in Luanda, the capital of Angola, located south of the older city centre. It was developed as a planned housing project, and its layout is much more regular than many of the informal neighbourhoods around it. From above, the streets form a clear pattern of blocks, with larger roads marking the edges.
The difference between planned and unplanned areas is one of the most striking things on a map of Luanda. In Nova Vida, the blocks are uniform and the roads are straight. At the edges, the pattern gives way to denser, less regular streets. This contrast makes the district easy to recognise at poster scale.
