Te mapa
Nysa grew on the Eastern Neisse river, known in Polish as the Nysa Kłodzka, in the Opole region of southern Poland. From above, the river sweeps through the town in wide bends. The old town lies on one bank, with a regular market square at its centre, and newer districts spread across the surrounding plain.
For centuries, Nysa was a seat of the prince-bishops of Wrocław. Its many churches and religious houses earned it the nickname the Silesian Rome. The Basilica of St James and St Agnes, with its separate bell tower, still dominates the skyline. Prussian fortifications were later built around the town, and parts of them still trace its outline.
A Nysa map poster brings these layers together: the medieval core, the traces of fortress lines, the river, and the large Nysa Lake reservoir just to the west. The old town was badly damaged in 1945 and later rebuilt, so the map is also a record of how the town recovered.
The river curves through the town and past the old centre, dividing the map and linking the historic core to the districts on the other bank.
The old town is laid out around a rectangular market square, a grid that stands out clearly against the less regular streets around it.
Remains of the Prussian fortifications appear as angular earthworks and green belts at the town's edge, giving the print a distinctive geometric outline.

Koteā ko Nysa
Nysa appeals to people who value towns with visible history: its layout still shows the bishop's town, the fortress and the river crossing. Former students and families from the region often want a map that shows all of this at a glance.
Add a title such as a family name or a year, adjust the subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir makes the river loops stand out especially well.
