Te mapa
Oakley sits at the eastern end of Contra Costa County, where the East Bay suburbs meet the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta. On the map, its northern edge breaks into water. Channels, sloughs and reclaimed islands form a maze of blue lines. That contrasts sharply with the orderly residential streets to the south.
The town incorporated as a city only in 1999, although farming there goes back much further. The area was known for almond orchards and for vineyards, including old Zinfandel plantings, and some of that agricultural pattern still shows between the subdivisions. The state highway bypass runs across the city as a long, smooth line.
An Oakley map poster frames that meeting of land and water well. The suburban loops and cul-de-sacs fill the middle of the design. The northern shoreline and the Delta islands add an irregular, almost hand-drawn border. Few Bay Area towns have such a watery edge so close to their residential streets.
To the north, the land breaks into channels and marsh. Its uneven edge looks nothing like the neat streets further inland.
A state highway crosses the city in a long, gentle line. It divides the map into clear northern and southern sections.
Some large rectangular parcels survive between the newer neighbourhoods. They are reminders of the orchards and vineyards that once covered the area.

Koteā ko Oakley
For residents, Oakley is where suburban life ends at the water: boating, fishing and quiet evenings by the Delta. A map poster captures that edge and the streets people drive every day.
Add your own title, a subtitle with a date, and the coordinates. Blueprint makes the Delta channels stand out. Noir and Classic black & white keep the design stark and graphic.
