Te mapa
Orangevale is an unincorporated community in Sacramento County, California. It was named for the citrus groves planted there in the late nineteenth century. The orchards are mostly gone, but their influence remains in the map. Long, straight arterial roads divide the land into large blocks, and inside those blocks houses sit on generous lots. Some still keep room for horses and gardens.
Greenback Lane and Hazel Avenue are among the main roads that frame the community. Within the larger grid, cul-de-sacs and short loops fill in the spaces. Folsom Lake and the American River corridor lie close by to the northeast, which gives the area an outdoor, semi-rural feel that differs from denser suburbs nearer Sacramento.
An Orangevale map poster shows this mix of an agricultural grid and later suburban infill. The strong straight lines of the old land divisions contrast with the curling residential streets inside them. The result is a design that feels open and ordered, with a surprising amount of variety within each block.

Many residential areas have wide parcels with space for gardens and horses. On the map this shows up as a looser, more open street pattern than typical tract suburbs.
The community lies close to Folsom Lake and the American River corridor. The lake and river land give the northeast edge of the map a natural boundary.
