Te mapa
Owendo sits on the Komo estuary just south of Libreville, and it is the country's main commercial port. On a map, the shoreline carries most of the story. Quays and container yards cut straight lines into the natural curve of the estuary, and loading areas extend toward the water.
Owendo is also the coastal end of the Trans-Gabon Railway, which brings manganese, timber and other cargo from the interior to the port. The railway and its yards form a long industrial band, and residential neighbourhoods spread out across the land behind them.
An Owendo map poster shows a working port rather than a postcard view. It contrasts the engineered straight edges of the docks with the soft outline of the estuary and the mangroves around it. The result is strong and graphic, with plenty of white space where the water opens toward the sea.
The Komo estuary gives Owendo a long waterfront. Its natural curves are broken in places by straight, built-up quays.
The Trans-Gabon Railway ends here. Its tracks and freight yards make a long, linear feature that connects the port to the interior.
Container terminals and storage areas take up a large area by the water, drawn on the map as broad, regular geometric shapes.

Owendo suits people whose work or family history is tied to the port and the railway, and anyone who is drawn to places where land and water meet. The estuary gives the poster a natural sense of scale.
