Te mapa
Panambi lies in the northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, on a gently rolling plateau where soybean and wheat fields stretch toward the horizon. The town was founded in 1898 as a colony of German-speaking settlers under the name Neu-Württemberg, and its early layout still shows in the orderly street pattern at the centre, framed by wooded stream valleys.
The name Panambi comes from the Guarani word for butterfly. The town is also known in the region and beyond as the city of machines, a nickname earned through its concentration of metalworking and agricultural machinery manufacturers, whose industrial sites appear on the map as larger blocks on the edges of the residential streets.
A Panambi map poster captures the character of a southern Brazilian interior town: a tidy centre, industrial blocks along the roads, streams winding through wooded corridors and the patchwork of fields beyond. For descendants of the original settlers, and for anyone connected to its factories, it is a thoughtful and specific piece for the wall.
The central streets reflect the town's origins as a planned colony, forming a regular pattern that stands out clearly against the softer lines of the surrounding valleys.
Large manufacturing sites, tied to the town's machinery industry, sit along the main roads and appear as broad, simple shapes at the margins of the residential areas.
Small streams cross the town in wooded strips, breaking the street pattern into sections and leaving thin gaps that read as quiet pauses on the map.

Koteā ko Panambi
Panambi is a town of family businesses and surnames brought from Europe more than a century ago. A map of its streets and valleys is a fitting way to mark those roots, or to remember years spent working or studying here.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding the founding year or your own family date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files for $9 come in six print sizes, and a free preview is available.
