Te mapa
Caxias do Sul sits high in the Serra Gaúcha of Rio Grande do Sul, and its map shows a grid that was drawn with great confidence and then had to deal with the hills. The central blocks are square and orderly. At the edges, streets curve to follow ridges and valleys, and green gaps mark the steep ravines that could not be built on. The contrast gives the city a restless, topographic outline.
The city was founded by Italian immigrants from 1875 onward, and that heritage still shapes its food, its speech and its calendar. The Festa da Uva, a grape festival held since the 1930s, celebrates the vineyards of the surrounding highlands. Caxias also grew into one of southern Brazil's largest industrial centres, known particularly for making buses and other vehicles.
A Caxias do Sul map poster captures a city carved out of uneven ground. In black and white, the regular core stands out as a dense rectangle, while the outer neighbourhoods spread out like fingers along the high ground. It is a map with a lot of movement, and it works well at the larger print sizes.
The planned colonial-era centre is laid out in regular square blocks. On the map it is a clear, dense core that everything else radiates from.
Around the core, the terrain makes streets bend and break. Wooded valleys appear as irregular open areas between the neighbourhoods.
The surrounding plateau of farmland, vineyards and forest gives the city a soft edge where roads thin out into rural lanes.

Koteā ko Caxias do Sul
Caxias do Sul appeals to people with roots in the Serra Gaúcha and to families who trace their story back to the Italian settlers of the region. The map feels both orderly and wild, like the city itself.
Put a family name or an arrival year in the title and subtitle, keep or edit the coordinates line, and choose from five styles. Sand and Paper suit the wine country, and Noir gives the ridges dramatic depth.
