Te mapa
Phalauda lies in western Uttar Pradesh, on the level land between the Ganges and the Yamuna known as the Doab. From above, the town reads as a dense cluster of short, irregular lanes. Built-up blocks press close together near the centre, and then the pattern opens abruptly into a quilt of cultivated plots that runs to the edge of the frame.
The land is almost perfectly flat, so the map shows none of the contour-driven curves that hill towns have. The shape comes from human decisions instead: roads that head out towards neighbouring villages, field boundaries drawn at slight angles to one another, and irrigation channels running long and straight. In black and white these lines give the surrounding countryside a fine, woven texture.
A Phalauda map poster suits someone with family roots in the district, or anyone who thinks of home as a particular crossroads rather than a skyline. The contrast holds up at every size. Dark lanes gather at the core and the open grid of farmland around it stays pale.
The oldest part of town appears as a tight mass of narrow, crooked lanes, where the lines sit so close together that the centre prints almost solid.
Several roads leave the town in different directions, linking it to nearby villages and larger towns of the plain and giving the composition a loose star shape.
Beyond the houses, straight field edges and channels divide the Doab into long parcels, a quiet agricultural pattern that fills the margins of the poster.

Koteā ko Phalauda
People hang Phalauda for reasons that rarely show up in guidebooks: a childhood house, a wedding, or a grandparent's shop on a lane that may not even have a name. A plain map keeps that memory precise without turning it into decoration.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name and a year. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9, and printed posters are shipped from partners in over 30 countries.
