Te mapa
Pinamar lies on the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires Province, about 350 kilometres south of the capital. Its street plan is unusual for Argentina: instead of a strict grid, curving avenues and roads wind across the old dune landscape, following the shape of the land. The beach runs in a long, almost straight line along the eastern edge, and pine forest fills much of the town between the streets.
The resort was founded in the 1940s by the architect Jorge Bunge, who planted pines and other vegetation to stabilise the moving sand dunes before building began. The result was a wooded seaside town that became one of Argentina's best-known summer destinations, with nearby resorts such as Cariló and Ostende along the same stretch of coast.
A Pinamar map poster shows the town's flowing plan clearly. Streets curve and fan out across the page, with the straight coastline as a strong edge, and the open dunes and forests at the margins leave areas of empty space. The combination of organic streets and a clean coastline gives the map a distinctive, relaxed character.

A long, nearly straight beach runs the length of the town, forming the clean eastern edge of the map.
The pines planted to fix the dunes still cover much of the town and its surroundings, leaving green spaces between the streets.

Koteā ko Pinamar
Pinamar means summer holidays for many Argentine families, returning to the same beach and the same streets year after year. A map poster records those summers and suits a beach house or a city apartment far from the coast.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the years your family spent there, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand and Blueprint both suit the coast.
