Te mapa
Avellaneda begins where Buenos Aires ends, on the south bank of the Riachuelo. From above, the river's slow bends draw a sharp edge between the two cities, crossed by a handful of bridges. On the Avellaneda side the streets form a tight, slightly irregular grid, cut through by rail lines heading south into the province.
For much of the twentieth century this was one of Argentina's main industrial districts, with meatpacking plants, warehouses and the port at Dock Sud. The docks still show on the map as long rectangular basins near the mouth of the Riachuelo, where it joins the Río de la Plata.
Football is part of how the city is known. The stadiums of Racing Club and Independiente stand only a few blocks apart, and an Avellaneda map poster shows both as large oval shapes in the street grid. Around them, dense housing and old factory lots fill almost every block.

Port basins and industrial wharves near the river mouth. They appear as long geometric cuts in the land, different in scale and shape from the residential streets further inland.
The home grounds of Racing Club and Independiente sit very close to each other. Their oval outlines are easy to find on the map and mean a great deal to local football fans.

Koteā ko Avellaneda
For many people, Avellaneda means family, factory work or a lifelong football club. A map of its streets keeps that closeness in a quiet form, with the river on one side and the neighbourhoods on the other.
The title and subtitle can carry a club founding year, a family name or an address. The coordinates line can point to a particular block. Noir makes the dense grid look dramatic, and Classic black & white keeps it crisp.
