Te mapa
Merlo lies in the western part of Greater Buenos Aires, on the flat pampas plain that the metropolitan area has spread across for more than a century. From above it is almost entirely grid. Square and rectangular blocks run in every direction, and a few diagonal roads and the railway corridor interrupt them. The land is so level that almost nothing else disturbs the pattern.
The town grew around its station on the Sarmiento railway line, which still links it directly to central Buenos Aires. Commerce and civic buildings gather near the station and the main plaza. Further out, the grid becomes more residential and is divided into separate localities, each with its own small centre.
A Merlo map poster turns that repetition into something graphic. Hundreds of small blocks form an even texture, and the railway cuts across it as a strong diagonal. On the district's edges, watercourses and open land toward the Reconquista River break the grid and give the composition its outline.
Regular square blocks cover nearly the whole district, producing the fine, even texture typical of the suburbs west of Buenos Aires.
The Sarmiento line crosses the grid on its way to central Buenos Aires, and the town's main centre grew up around its station.
Toward the river, the grid gives way to meandering waterways and open land, which softens the district's outline.

Koteā ko Merlo
Merlo is home to many families in greater Buenos Aires, and its familiar streets carry memories of school walks, train rides and weekends at the plaza. As a poster, the grid becomes a restful pattern that still marks one specific place.
Add your own title and subtitle, and set the coordinates line to the corner you grew up on. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let the print fit anything from a modern flat to a family home.
