Te mapa
Pindamonhangaba lies in the Paraíba Valley, the long corridor between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The Paraíba do Sul river meanders across the valley floor in loose curves and oxbows, and the city has grown along its banks and toward the main highway. To the north, the ground rises steadily toward the Serra da Mantiqueira, whose ridges frame the valley's horizon.
Known locally as Pinda, the city developed during the coffee era of the nineteenth century, and a number of houses from that period survive in the centre. Today it is an industrial and agricultural town, with factories along the highway and rice fields on the flat land near the river. The map shows a compact older grid surrounded by newer districts reaching outward.
A Pindamonhangaba map poster captures a classic valley city: the meanders of the river on one side, the straight line of the Via Dutra through the middle, and streets extending toward the hills. It is a fitting piece for residents and for those who travel the valley regularly and know Pinda as one of its steady landmarks.
The Paraíba do Sul loops across the valley floor near the city, leaving curves and former channels that give the map a flowing, organic edge.
The highway between São Paulo and Rio passes the city in a long straight line, with industrial sites and junctions lined up along it.
The older town keeps a regular grid around its main squares and churches, a dense core that stands apart from the looser districts spreading beyond it.

Koteā ko Pindamonhangaba
For people from Pinda, the map is a reminder of the valley's wide horizon, the river and the mountains beyond. It also suits anyone with memories of the road between São Paulo and Rio and the towns along the way.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a meaningful date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand works nicely with the valley's open landscape.
