Te mapa
Potters Bar sits just north of the London boundary in Hertfordshire, with the M25 curving along its southern side. From above, the town stretches along its high street and the East Coast Main Line. Residential streets fill in on either side, and all around lie fields, parkland and the wooded estates of the green belt.
The town grew rapidly after the railway arrived, and it remains a commuter base for central London. In 1916, during the First World War, a German Zeppelin airship was shot down over Potters Bar, an event still remembered locally. Farmland and old estates close to the town keep its edges surprisingly rural.
A Potters Bar map poster shows a classic railway town from the outer edge of London. The rail line and the motorway set the main structure, the suburban streets fill in with curves and closes, and the open country around it gives the print breathing room. It is a neat, well-balanced composition.
The railway runs north to south through the town. It is the reason Potters Bar grew, and the map's most important straight line.
The motorway sweeps around the southern edge of town. It marks a clear divide between Potters Bar and the open land toward Greater London.
Fields, woods and estate parkland surround the built-up area. On the map they form wide, calm spaces that frame the town's suburban streets.

Koteā ko Potters Bar
Potters Bar is a good choice for commuters who know every stop on the line, families who have moved out from London, or anyone who grew up among its closes and parks. The map shows how close the town sits to the city while staying apart from it.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with the year you moved in, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. You can download 300 DPI files or order a matte print shipped from a nearby partner.
