Remscheid Map Poster & Print
Remscheid lies in the Bergisches Land, a hilly region east of Düsseldorf. The city sits on high ridges cut by steep, wooded valleys, so its streets follow the terrain instead of forming a single grid. On a map, districts spread along ridge roads with forested slopes between them, and the Wupper river curves along the southern edge.
The Müngsten Bridge, Germany's highest railway bridge, crosses the Wupper valley between Remscheid and Solingen. Remscheid has long been known for tool manufacturing, and the physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who discovered X-rays, was born in the district of Lennep, whose old town still has a compact historic centre.
A Remscheid map poster is a map of hills more than streets. Winding roads, dense neighbourhoods on high ground and dark forested valleys create a rich, uneven texture. The Wupper and the bridge give the lower part of the map a clear focal point, while Lennep adds a small, tight old-town pattern.

Lennep old town
Röntgen's birthplace keeps a compact historic core of narrow, curving streets, a contrast to the newer districts along the ridges.
Ridges and valleys
Roads follow the high ground while wooded valleys cut between the districts, giving the city a scattered, organic shape on paper.

Remscheid suits people from the Bergisches Land, engineers and tool-makers, or anyone who likes maps where the terrain shapes everything. The mix of ridges, forests and the bridge makes an unusual and detailed print.
Add a custom title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps Lennep or a year. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint fits a city with such a strong industrial background.
