Te mapa
Săcele lies just southeast of Brașov, where the Bârsa basin meets the first ridges of the Southern Carpathians. It grew from a chain of separate villages that were eventually joined into one town, and the map still shows it: a long, linear settlement strung along a main road, with side streets branching off at intervals where each old village core once stood.
To the south the streets stop abruptly against forested slopes, and the contrast between the dense line of houses and the unbroken green above is the town's defining shape. Northward the land opens toward the flat basin and the outskirts of Brașov. Churches and small squares punctuate the main street, marking the rhythm of the original communities that made up the town.
The area has long been home to Romanian and Hungarian communities, including the Csángó people of the Săcele villages, and that layered past is visible in the way the town reads as several places joined together. A Săcele map poster captures that elongated form in clean line work, with the mountain edge giving the composition a natural frame.
The town unfolds along one long road for several kilometres, a single spine with short cross streets that makes the map read almost like a timeline of joined villages.
On the southern side the street pattern ends against wooded Carpathian slopes, leaving a sharp boundary between built-up blocks and open forest that frames the whole drawing.
To the northwest the road network thickens as it approaches Brașov, showing how closely Săcele sits to the larger city while keeping its own distinct outline.

Koteā ko Săcele
For people with roots in the Bârsa Land, or anyone who has walked from Săcele up into the hills, this map holds a very particular shape. It suits a hallway or a study, where its long horizontal line can be read at a glance.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or the year you moved, and set the coordinates line. Then pick one of five styles, such as Noir or Paper, and download the $9 HD file set or order a printed poster.
