The newer districts are laid out as repeated rectangular blocks. They create a steady, regular texture that contrasts with the looser pattern near the old centre.

Te mapa
Şaḩnāyā lies on the flat ground south-west of Damascus, in the belt of towns that has grown up around the capital over recent decades. From above, the town is a close grid of apartment blocks and straight streets. Its edges are softer, where orchards and fields still sit between the built-up areas.
Like many towns in Rif Dimashq, Şaḩnāyā grew quickly as Damascus spread outward. The map shows that growth in layers. There is an older, irregular centre, then more regular planned districts, and finally the main roads that link it to the city and to neighbouring towns.
A Şaḩnāyā map poster turns this suburban plan into a clear graphic. There are no rivers or coastlines to organise the drawing, so the rhythm comes from the streets alone: short alleys at the core, longer parallel roads in the newer quarters, and the wider routes that cross them.
The newer districts are laid out as repeated rectangular blocks. They create a steady, regular texture that contrasts with the looser pattern near the old centre.
Several main roads cross the town and connect it towards Damascus and nearby towns. They stand out as the strongest lines in the drawing.
At the fringes, the street grid gives way to field boundaries and orchard plots. This marks where the suburb ends and the older agricultural plain begins.

Koteā ko Şaḩnāyā
For families from Şaḩnāyā, including many who now live far away, a map of the familiar streets can mean a great deal. It records a place exactly as it is laid out, simply and without commentary.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can write the name in Arabic script or add a meaningful year. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
