Te mapa
Salou lies on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, a short distance west of Tarragona. From above, the sea defines its shape: a series of beaches set in shallow bays, separated by the rocky promontory of Cap de Salou. Behind the waterfront, a dense grid of hotel and apartment blocks fills the flat ground, while quieter residential streets climb onto the cape.
The palm-lined seafront promenade, Passeig de Jaume I, is named after the king whose fleet sailed from this coast in 1229 to conquer Mallorca. Today Salou is one of Spain's best-known holiday resorts, and the PortAventura theme park sits right beside the town, its large grounds clearly visible on the map.
A Salou map poster works for families who return every summer, couples who spent a first holiday on its beaches, and residents who know the town beyond the season. The coastline of coves and headland gives it a strong silhouette, even at the smallest print size.
A rocky headland pushes into the sea at the east end of town, its winding streets and small coves in contrast with the long beaches on either side.
The Passeig de Jaume I follows the main beach in a long, gentle curve and forms the town's most recognisable line along the water.
Behind the shore, blocks of hotels and apartments form a tight, regular pattern that fills the level ground between the coast and the rail line.

Koteā ko Salou
For many people, Salou is the place of summer holidays, and a map of its bays and headland recalls those weeks better than any photograph. The clean coastline looks particularly good in Noir or Blueprint.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, adding the year of a trip or the name of a beach, and pick from five styles. The $9 digital download includes six sizes, and printed posters on matte paper ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
