Te mapa
San Antonio is a municipality on the coast of Zambales, on the western side of Luzon facing the South China Sea. On a map the town centre forms a modest grid on flat land near the shore, while to the south and west the coast becomes more rugged, with headlands, coves and islands lying just offshore.
The fishing village of Pundaquit is the usual starting point for boat trips to nearby coves such as Anawangin, known for its pine trees and pale volcanic sand, and to Capones Island, where an old lighthouse stands above the sea. These places have made San Antonio a well-known weekend escape from Manila.
Inland the land rises toward the Zambales Mountains, and rivers run down across farmland to meet the sea near the town. A San Antonio map poster frames this meeting of coast and hills, a composition with more open water than most, and one that works well for anyone with memories of these beaches.
The rocky island off the coast carries a historic lighthouse and appears on the map as a distinct shape in the open sea west of the mainland.
The fishing village sits at the mouth of a small bay, where the flat coastal plain meets the first steep headlands of the southern coast.
Around the town centre the land is level and cultivated, with roads and river channels running toward the shore in a loose, open pattern.

Koteā ko San Antonio
This map is for Manila weekenders who camped in the coves, families from Zambales and anyone who remembers the boat ride out to Capones. The ragged coastline and scattered islands give the print a strong, dramatic line.
