Te mapa
San Javier's map is dominated by water. The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a large, shallow saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean by the long sandbar of La Manga. The municipality includes the seaside district of Santiago de la Ribera, whose promenade and wooden piers follow the lagoon edge, and part of La Manga itself.
Inland, the town centre forms a compact grid surrounded by farmland. On the shore, the Spanish Air Force Academy occupies a large site, its runways drawing long, straight lines beside the lagoon. San Javier is also known for its summer jazz festival, which has brought international musicians to the town for decades.
A San Javier map poster combines a straightforward street plan with one of the most unusual coastlines in Spain: a sheltered inland sea and a narrow ribbon of land between two bodies of water. In black and white, the lagoon becomes a calm, open field against the lines of the shore.
The western edge of the lagoon runs along Santiago de la Ribera, with a promenade and small piers reaching into the shallow water.
The narrow sandbar that separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean stretches across the map as a thin line of land with water on both sides.
The academy's airfield sits beside the lagoon, its runways forming long straight shapes that contrast with the soft curve of the coastline.

Koteā ko San Javier
San Javier is where many families spend every summer, where cadets train and where friends gather for the jazz festival. A map of the lagoon and the town brings those memories home, whether you live in Murcia or much further away.
