Central street grid
The core of town follows a regular pattern of blocks and squares, dense enough to read as texture at small print sizes and clear enough to follow street by street at larger ones.

Te mapa
From above, São Gabriel reads as a tidy block of streets placed on a vast, gently rolling plain. The urban grid is dense at the centre and loosens toward the edges, where plots grow larger and the pattern gives way to straight rural roads heading across the Campanha grasslands of western Rio Grande do Sul.
The town is known across Brazil as the Terra dos Marechais, the land of the marshals, because several senior military figures were born here, including Hermes da Fonseca, who later became president of the republic. That history shows up in street names and squares, but on the map the story is mostly told by geometry: a regular colonial-era layout meeting ranch country.
A São Gabriel map poster captures that contrast well. The black ink gathers around the centre, then thins into a quiet field of white where cattle estates and pasture take over. A river curves along one side of the town, adding the only irregular line to an otherwise measured composition, which gives the finished print a calm, balanced look.
The core of town follows a regular pattern of blocks and squares, dense enough to read as texture at small print sizes and clear enough to follow street by street at larger ones.
Beyond the last blocks, the map opens into wide, nearly empty space crossed by a few straight roads, a direct picture of the grassland country of southern Brazil.
A river winds past the town, its loose meanders standing out against the orderly streets and giving the composition a natural counterweight.

Koteā ko São Gabriel
People who grew up in São Gabriel, or whose families come from the Campanha, often want something that shows home without spelling it out. A map does that quietly: the grid, the plain, the river, recognisable to anyone who knows the place.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example adding a family name or a year, and choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters are also available.
