Te mapa
Schwalmtal lies in the Lower Rhine region of North Rhine-Westphalia, close to the border with the Netherlands. It was formed in 1970 from the former municipalities of Waldniel and Amern, and from above it still shows two main centres linked by roads through farmland, woods and small settlements rather than a single compact town.
The municipality takes its name from the Schwalm, a small river that flows through the area towards the Meuse. Its valley, with meadows, woodland and ponds, forms part of the cross-border Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park, which gives much of the surrounding map a soft, green character.
A Schwalmtal map poster captures this spread-out structure: the separate cores of Waldniel and Amern, the network of country roads between them and the winding line of the river valley. It is a quiet, detailed composition that reflects the rural character of the Lower Rhine.
Waldniel and Amern each keep their own denser core, and the map shows them as distinct clusters connected by roads across open countryside.
The river Schwalm winds through meadows and woodland, adding a soft, irregular line that contrasts with the straight boundaries of nearby fields.
Woods, ponds and wetlands of the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park surround the settlements, giving the edges of the poster an open, natural texture.

Koteā ko Schwalmtal
Schwalmtal is home to many families with deep roots in Waldniel or Amern, and a map that shows both centres together says something about the place as it is today. It works well in a hallway, study or as a gift for someone moving away.
Choose your own title and subtitle, perhaps the name of a village or a family date, and set the coordinates line. Pick one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Paper, and order a digital file or a printed poster.
