Te mapa
Sheraro is a town in northwestern Tigray, in the lowlands that stretch toward the border with Eritrea. The surrounding country is broad and open, lower and warmer than the Tigray highlands to the east, and from above the town appears as a loose network of streets spread over fairly level ground, with tracks and roads heading out across the plain.
The street pattern is simple and spacious. A few main roads carry most of the traffic and form the backbone of the town, while smaller lanes fill in between them with compounds and plots. Toward the edges the built-up area thins into farmland and bush, and the boundary between town and countryside is soft rather than sharp.
A Sheraro map poster offers a clear, unadorned view of a place rarely shown on maps in any detail. It records the main roads, the layout of neighborhoods and the open land around them, and it can serve as a personal connection to a hometown in a region that many families have had to leave in recent years.
A few principal roads cross Sheraro and meet near its center, forming the strongest lines on the map and linking the town with other settlements in western Tigray.
Residential areas are laid out in wide blocks with compounds and open plots, giving the poster a light, airy pattern compared with denser highland towns.
Sheraro sits in the lower, flatter country of northwestern Tigray, and the surrounding plains appear on the map as open ground crossed by tracks and roads.

Koteā ko Sheraro
For members of the Tigrayan diaspora and families from the western lowlands, a map of Sheraro can hold a great deal of meaning. It keeps the town's shape visible and present, whether it hangs in Addis Ababa, Europe or North America.
You can change the title and subtitle, including writing the name in the spelling you prefer, and edit the coordinates line. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order a printed poster or download the HD files.
