Te mapa
Siddipet is the headquarters of Siddipet district in Telangana, roughly a hundred kilometres north of Hyderabad on the Deccan plateau. From above the town is compact, with a dense centre of narrow streets and small plots, and main roads leaving it in several directions toward Hyderabad, Karimnagar and surrounding towns. Around the edges the built-up area gives way quickly to open fields.
Water shapes much of the surrounding map. Like many places in Telangana, Siddipet depends on tanks, traditional reservoirs held back by earthen bunds, and their outlines appear as irregular pale shapes among the streets and fields. Komati Cheruvu, the town's best-known tank, has been developed with a lakeside park and walkways and draws visitors in the evenings.
In recent years the town has grown along its main roads, with new colonies laid out in more regular blocks than the old core. A Siddipet map poster shows both patterns at once: the tight, irregular centre and the straighter grids around it, bordered by water and open land. In black and white, that contrast becomes the main design element of the print.
The town's large tank sits close to the centre, its shoreline an irregular curve that stands out clearly against the surrounding streets and makes a natural focal point.
Main roads leave the centre toward Hyderabad, Karimnagar and nearby towns, drawn as long lines that give the whole map a loose, star-like frame.
Narrow lanes and small plots around the market area form the densest part of the map, a fine web that contrasts with the newer colonies outside it.

Koteā ko Siddipet
Siddipet is home for many families who now live in Hyderabad, elsewhere in India or abroad. A map of the town is a calm way to keep it close, showing the lake, the lanes and the roads out, without relying on a single photograph.
