Te mapa
Solikamsk lies in the north of Perm Krai, where the small Usolka River runs towards the Kama. Its name refers to the salt that brought people here as early as the fifteenth century. The old centre sits along the Usolka, and the city spreads outward across flat ground, with the wider Kama water to the west.
For centuries salt made Solikamsk important on the route into Siberia, and its seventeenth-century stone churches, including the Holy Trinity Cathedral, reflect that wealth. Today the town is known for potash mining, and the large industrial sites around it show up clearly on the map as broad, geometric footprints.
A Solikamsk map poster brings together these layers. The historic core sits close to the river, compact and older in form, while later residential blocks and industrial areas extend outward in wider patterns. Water, rail lines and roads leading north to Berezniki complete a picture of a small city with a long working history.
The old part of town stays close to the Usolka, where the churches and early salt works once defined the centre.
Large mining and processing sites around the city create wide, angular areas that contrast with the finer street grid.
To the west the broad Kama and its reservoir-backed waters give the map a strong edge of open space.
