Te mapa
St. Moritz divides neatly on the map into two parts. St. Moritz Dorf climbs a south-facing hillside above the lake, a tight tangle of streets and switchbacks with hotels along its upper edge. St. Moritz Bad spreads more evenly across the level ground at the lake's southwestern end. The young Inn river enters the lake from the southwest and leaves toward Celerina to the northeast.
The town is widely credited with starting winter tourism in the Alps in the 1860s, and it hosted the Winter Olympics twice, in 1928 and 1948. In winter the frozen lake becomes a venue in its own right, used for events including the White Turf horse races, while the Cresta Run and the Olympia Bob Run both descend toward Celerina.
A St. Moritz map poster captures the compact geometry of a place better known for its image than its layout: the steep weave of the village, the oval lake, the railway station on the shore and the valley opening to the southwest toward Silvaplana and Sils. It is a precise, understated portrait of a famous name.
The lake sits at the foot of the town and anchors the whole composition. Paths ring its shore, and in winter its frozen surface hosts horse races and snow polo.
The upper village is a dense cluster of short, winding streets and hairpin roads climbing the hillside, a texture that stands out sharply against the open meadows around it.
Southwest of town the valley holds a chain of lakes, including Champfèr, Silvaplana and Sils, linked by the Inn river and giving the wider map a string of pale shapes.

Koteā ko St. Moritz
St. Moritz carries associations with winter sport, grand hotels and the clear light of the Engadine. A map poster keeps the reference restrained, which suits people who would rather hang a detail of a place than a postcard view of it.
The title and subtitle are yours to change, as is the coordinates line, so the poster can mark a hotel, a race or a family trip. Five styles are available, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, each delivered as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
