Te mapa
Subotica is the northernmost city in Serbia, in the province of Vojvodina, close to the border with Hungary. It stands on the flat, open Pannonian plain. From above, its streets fan out from a central core in several directions, with roads heading toward Szeged, Novi Sad and the surrounding villages across a landscape of fields and farm tracks.
The city is best known for its Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture, built around 1900 when it flourished within Austria-Hungary. The City Hall, completed in the early 1910s, and the synagogue, one of the finest Secessionist buildings in Europe, stand near the centre. A few kilometres east lies Lake Palić, a spa and resort area since the nineteenth century.
A Subotica map poster gathers these elements into one image: the radial centre, the wide blocks of the plain and the rounded outline of Lake Palić beyond the city edge. It is a considered gift for people from Vojvodina and for visitors who came for the architecture and stayed longer than planned.
Main streets spread outward from the historic core like spokes, a pattern typical of plain cities that grew along regional roads and railways.
The compact central area around City Hall and the synagogue holds the densest streets, and the city's best-known architecture is concentrated there.
East of the city, the lake appears as a smooth open shape bordered by parkland and villas, a softer counterpoint to the surrounding grid.

Koteā ko Subotica
Subotica often means something across borders: a family home for Hungarian and Serbian speakers alike, a stop between Budapest and Belgrade, a place of summers at Palić. A map holds all of these meanings without choosing between them.
Write the title in the spelling you prefer, add a date or a second place name to the subtitle, and keep the coordinates as a subtle detail. Paper and Sand suit the city's old architecture, while Classic black & white, Noir and Blueprint offer sharper contrast.
