Te mapa
Sunchales is a city in the west of Santa Fe Province, in the heart of the Argentine Pampas. Like many towns in the region, it is laid out as a regular grid of square blocks with a central plaza. It sits on land so flat that roads and field boundaries run straight to the horizon.
The city is widely known as the national capital of cooperativism. It is where the dairy cooperative SanCor was founded, and cooperative institutions still play a large part in local economic life. The surrounding countryside is dairy and grain country, divided into the large, even plots typical of the Pampas.
A Sunchales map poster shows a town that is almost pure geometry. There is an evenly spaced grid, one or two diagonal avenues or railway lines, and wide rectangular fields all around. In black and white the pattern is clean and orderly, a straightforward portrait of a Pampas town built on farming and cooperation.

Railway tracks and regional roads cut through and around the grid. These longer lines break the regular pattern and link the city to the Santa Fe plain.
Large rectangular fields surround the town on every side. They show the dairy and grain farming that made Sunchales known across Argentina.
