Te mapa
Concordia sits on the eastern edge of Entre Ríos, where Argentina meets the Uruguay River. From above, the city reads as a regular checkerboard of blocks that runs down to the bank, with a central plaza anchoring the grid and longer avenues cutting through toward the outskirts. Across the water lies the Uruguayan city of Salto, so the map naturally frames two towns looking at each other over the same broad river.
North of the city, the Salto Grande dam holds back a long reservoir shared by both countries, and its concrete line across the river is one of the clearest man-made features in the region. The dam carries a road and rail crossing between Argentina and Uruguay. Closer in, the riverbank softens into parks and beaches, while thermal springs on the edge of town have made Concordia a familiar stop for visitors from around the region.
A Concordia map poster keeps the essentials: the grid, the curve of the bank, the scatter of islands and the pale expanse of water that fills one side of the sheet. Rendered in fine black lines, the orderly streets contrast with the loose shapes of the river, which gives the composition its balance. It works equally well zoomed in on the centre or pulled back to include the dam.
The city's eastern side is defined by the Uruguay River, a wide border channel with sandbars and islands. Salto, in Uruguay, sits directly across the water on the opposite bank.
Upstream, the binational Salto Grande dam crosses the river in a straight line and holds a long reservoir, carrying a road and railway between the two countries.
Streets follow a regular checkerboard around a central plaza, the classic Spanish-American planning pattern, and it prints as a crisp, even texture across the whole city.
