Te mapa
Tantoyuca lies in the Huasteca region of northern Veracruz, an area of low hills, cattle land and scattered rural settlements. The terrain is uneven, and the town's plan shows it. Streets keep a rough grid near the centre, then bend and break apart as they follow slopes and watercourses outward.
The area is part of the traditional homeland of the Teenek (Huastec) people, and the town is a local centre for trade and services in the surrounding countryside. On a map this role appears as a central district of regular blocks, with roads leaving toward the villages and ranches beyond.
A Tantoyuca map poster has a pleasing irregularity. The orderly blocks of the centre give way to curving roads and uneven outskirts, like a grid pressed onto hills that do not quite accept it. For people from the Huasteca, it records a town that larger maps of Mexico rarely show in detail.
Around the main square the streets follow the familiar Mexican grid, and the blocks are compact and fairly even. This is the densest and most legible part of the map.
Away from the centre, streets curve and dead-end as they meet the rolling ground. The result is a softer, less regular outline around the town.
Several routes run out into the Huasteca countryside and link Tantoyuca to the small communities it serves. They form long, thin lines across open space.

Koteā ko Tantoyuca
The map appeals to families from the Huasteca and to anyone who has spent time in northern Veracruz. It shows a working regional town as a clear, calm drawing.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to add a family name, a Teenek greeting or a meaningful date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
