Te mapa
Tbeng Meanchey is the administrative centre of Preah Vihear province in northern Cambodia. It sits on the low plains that stretch south of the Dangrek escarpment. On the map, the town is a loose grid of straight streets around its market and government buildings. Wide spaces separate the blocks, and national roads lead out toward other provinces.
The province is best known for the Temple of Preah Vihear, a UNESCO World Heritage site perched on the Dangrek cliffs near the Thai border, well to the north of the town. Tbeng Meanchey itself is a working provincial town. Its plan is practical and open, with houses and gardens spreading along the roads and fields and woodland close by.
A Tbeng Meanchey map poster has a spacious, uncluttered look. There are few dense clusters, and the long straight roads give it a strong sense of direction. Small ponds and reservoirs appear as simple shapes. It works well as a record of time spent in northern Cambodia, whether for work, family or travel toward the temples.
The town centre follows a loose rectilinear plan around the market and administrative quarter. On the poster this makes a clear, open lattice of streets.
National roads enter the town as long, straight lines across flat land. They lead out toward Kampong Thom, Siem Reap and the northern border area.
Small ponds and reservoirs dot the area around the town. They show as quiet solid shapes among the thin lines of roads and tracks.

Koteā ko Tbeng Meanchey
For people working in the province, NGO staff, teachers, or families with roots here, Tbeng Meanchey is a meaningful place that seldom appears on any print. A map poster gives it the attention it rarely receives.
Edit the title and subtitle, perhaps using the town's newer name of Preah Vihear, add coordinates, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the open plan a soft, archival feel.
