Te mapa
Tororo is in Uganda's Eastern Region, close to the Kenyan border at Malaba. The town's most distinctive feature is Tororo Rock, a steep volcanic plug that rises sharply from the surrounding plain and can be seen from far away. On the map, town streets spread out from its base across fairly level ground.
Tororo sits on the main road and rail routes that link Uganda with Kenya and the coast, and it has long served as a junction and trading town for the east. Cement production, using local limestone deposits, is one of its best-known industries.
A Tororo map poster places the compact shape of the rock next to the looser street pattern of the town. The lines of highway and railway head east toward the border. The countryside around it breaks into smallholdings and village roads, giving the design a clear centre and an open, rural frame.
The steep volcanic outcrop dominates the town's setting. On the map it appears as a tight, dense form with contour-like edges beside the grid of streets.
Road and rail run east toward Malaba and Kenya. These long lines mark Tororo's role as a crossroads between the two countries.
Beyond the town, small farms, paths and scattered settlements form a fine, irregular texture that extends to the edges of the print.

For people from Tororo, or anyone who has passed through on the way to or from Kenya, the rock is an instantly recognisable landmark. This poster keeps that image in a clean, understated form.
