Te mapa
Ţūz Khūrmātū lies in northern Iraq, in Salah ad Din Governorate, on the route between Kirkuk and Baghdad. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets and low buildings, with the main highway running through and farmland spreading across the plain around it. Low ridges rise at a distance, giving the surrounding landscape a gently shaped edge.
The town has a mixed population of Turkmen, Kurds and Arabs, and it has long been a meeting point between communities and regions. Its position on the road between the north and the capital has made it a local centre for trade and agriculture. For many families, it is a place tied to language, heritage and strong local memory.
A Ţūz Khūrmātū map poster shows the town simply and clearly: its central streets, the main road, and the fields around the edge. In black and white, the layout becomes a quiet record of home. It can be a meaningful print for people with roots here, including those now living elsewhere in Iraq or abroad.
The road between Kirkuk and Baghdad runs through the town, forming its strongest line and the axis along which much of the settlement grew.
Streets in the centre form a close, fairly regular network, with blocks becoming looser toward the edges where houses meet fields.
Agricultural land spreads across the plain around the town, giving the map open areas and field lines beyond the built-up core.
