Te mapa
Ujhāni sits in Budaun district in western Uttar Pradesh, on the broad alluvial plain between the Ganges and its tributaries. From above, the town reads as a dense cluster of short, irregular streets that thin out quickly at the edges, where field boundaries take over and the pattern turns into a patchwork of small rectangles and country roads.
The street layout follows the logic of a trading town rather than a planned grid. Lanes bend and branch, and small open spaces appear wherever they meet. A few longer roads run out of the centre toward neighbouring towns, and the railway gives the plan one firm straight line that cuts across the curves of the older streets.
A Ujhāni map poster turns that quiet density into a clean graphic study. With no dramatic coastline or mountain to lean on, the drawing depends on the texture of the streets themselves: the tight weave in the middle, the open margins, and the way a small Indian town fades gradually into the cultivated plain around it.
At the centre, short lanes crowd together in an irregular mesh, producing the darkest, most detailed patch of the map and a strong focal point for the composition.
The railway crosses the town as a single straight stroke, a clear contrast to the curving lanes and a useful reference line when you look for familiar places.
Beyond the built-up area the plain opens into fields and scattered roads, giving the poster generous white space and a soft, gradual border around the town.

Koteā ko Ujhāni
For people who grew up in Ujhāni or have family there, the map holds something a photograph rarely does: the whole town at once, lane by lane. It works as a quiet reminder of home in a flat far away, or as a gift for relatives who moved on.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and include six print sizes, or you can order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
