Te mapa
Uromi is one of the main towns of the Esan area in Edo State, in southern Nigeria. On a map it appears as a spreading network of roads, not a tightly planned grid. The streets branch outward from a central area and gradually thin into the farmland and smaller settlements around the town.
The town is a traditional kingdom with its own ruler, the Onojie of Uromi. It is an important market and administrative centre for the surrounding Esan communities. Many families who have moved to Lagos, Benin City or abroad still think of Uromi as home and come back for festivals and family occasions.
A Uromi map poster gives a clear view of how the town has grown. Its older roads form a few main lines, and newer residential streets fill the spaces between them in irregular patterns. At the edges of the sheet the network loosens into tracks and open land, which keeps the print light and uncluttered.
The heart of the town is where several main roads meet. It is the densest part of the map and the natural centre of the composition.
Main routes run out of Uromi toward neighbouring Esan towns, creating a star-like pattern of long lines reaching toward the edges of the print.
Around the older core, newer residential streets fill the land in an informal, irregular pattern that shows the town's steady expansion.

For the many people of Esan heritage living away from Edo State, this map puts home on the wall. It is a fitting gift for a parent, a new homeowner or anyone who returns to Uromi for family occasions.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line with a family name, a quarter of the town or a meaningful date. Then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
