Te mapa
Wola is a district of Warsaw lying west of the city centre, and its map shows a place in the middle of a change. Long avenues such as Wolska run out toward the western edge of the city, crossed by rail lines and wide streets from the postwar period. Between them, large old industrial plots are being filled with offices and new housing.
The area around Rondo Daszyńskiego has become one of the main business districts in Warsaw, and the tall towers there show up as tight clusters of large footprints. To the north, the tree-lined paths of Powązki Cemetery form a dense, quiet area of their own. Parks and allotment gardens add patches of open space between the housing blocks.
Wola suffered heavily during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, and the museum dedicated to the uprising now stands in the district, in a converted tram power station. A Wola map poster holds several eras in a single frame, from prewar factory streets to postwar housing estates and a new glass skyline.
The roundabout at the heart of the new business district is surrounded by tall office towers, the densest cluster of large buildings on the map.
A large area of historic graves and tree-lined paths in the north of the district, forming a quiet, finely textured block on the map.
The long avenue heading west from the centre carries trams and traffic through the district, a straight line that links old factories and new housing.

Koteā ko Wola
Wola is where many Warsaw residents live and work today, and a map of it tells a story of rebuilding. It works as a gift for someone who has just moved into one of the new apartments, or for a family with deeper roots in the district.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a street name and the year you moved in. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters are made by partners in more than 30 countries, including Poland.
