Yakami Map Poster & Print
Yakami lies in Tokushima Prefecture on the eastern side of Shikoku, in the broad lowland shaped by the Yoshino River system. On a map, this kind of Japanese plain has a distinctive look: clusters of houses along narrow, gently bending lanes, surrounded by the fine patchwork of paddy fields and irrigation channels. Larger roads cross it in longer lines, linking the villages with Tokushima city to the southeast.
The Yoshino is one of Shikoku's major rivers, and much of the surrounding plain has been farmed for centuries. That history shows in the drawing. The settlement pattern is scattered rather than centred, with houses following older routes and field edges instead of a planned grid, and the map carries a calm, evenly spread texture.
A Yakami map poster is a modest, understated piece. It has no famous skyline or dramatic coast, only the everyday geometry of a place in rural Shikoku. That restraint is exactly why it works as a minimal print, and for anyone with roots in the area it is a precise picture of home.

Field patchwork
Small rectangular fields and irrigation lines fill the spaces between houses. They create a delicate, repeating pattern across the poster.
Winding lanes
Narrow local lanes bend along older routes and field boundaries. In black and white they look like fine, hand-drawn lines.

Places like Yakami rarely appear on posters, which makes a map of one especially personal. It may mark a family home, a grandparent's village or a stretch of life in Tokushima, shown with the same care usually given to big cities.
